I would give it a 0 but not an option. This hotel is a disgrace to the Knights Inn name and Wyndham hotels!! This place is a trick hotel that needs to be $15 a night not $56! The smell of smoke filled the entire building! The first room, AC was out of order and the second had a satanic symbol carved in the wall! My husband and I had no choice but to stay there because our 18 wheeler was being prepared down the street at Ryder! I was so disgusted but we were tired from driving all day. Please do not waist your time or money! I wish I could get my money back!
The work I do requires travel. If I'm in a state longer than 90 days, I'll get an apartment. But I love staying at hotels, if I can find a good weekly rate and a decent hotel. I'll say the rooms are very nice and the sink and vanity in bathroom are new. The floors are wood laminate and freshly painted walls. The bed is comfy and nice selection on the TV. The only thing that needs improved are the curtains! Other than that, I like this place and it's not far from my job! Also no tax in Delaware!
My girlfriend and I had moved from our house and needed a place local to stay for a couple of nights. I paid cash and got our room number, my step son and step daughter in law helped us bring in our things which consisted of 5 blankets, 4 pillows, sheets, 3 backpacks and two small coolers along with my girlfriends make up, toiletries and a bathroom rug (she don't like getting out of the shower and stepping on towels) along with 3 of our own towels. Her and my step daughter in law walked down to grab some ice and snacks and my step son and step daughter in law were going to visit for a little bit before we took them back to their apartment in Linwood PA. The man from the front desk, which I assumed was a manager proceeded to yell at my girlfriend and step daughter in law telling them to get our stuff and leave and when my girlfriend asked why he said "there were too many people for that room and we had too much stuff." My girlfriend started explaining to him that we had just moved from our house and had a packed van but assured him it was just a lot of blankets and a few book bags and that my step son and his girlfriend were just helping us carry in our things and visiting for about a half hour before we brought them home. He continued yelling at my girlfriend telling her to get our things and leave and at one point was close enough to where he raised his hand and she jumped. After words were exchanged between them he said to get our things out and he wasn't refunded our money until we got all our things from our room. I collected the money and he had no other explanation for throwing us out except that we had too much stuff in our room. Very unprofessional and uncalled for since there are no signs of a limit on what is allowed in the rooms and nobody else but me and my girlfriend were the only two spending the night in the paid room. And for a manager (a man, no less) to get into my girlfriends personal space and to raise his hand to the point of making her flinch is sick and disgusting. If we were not so exhausted from 2 days of packing up a 3 bedroom house and 8 hours of loading a truck and unloading it all into our storage bin we would of called the police ourselves, but because my girlfriend had such a migraine and we were exhausted we just left. No man should ever make a woman feel threatened especially if he does not even know her and is suppose to be professional when working with the public. My girlfriend was in the hotel/restaurant/food and beverage business for over 20 years and has managed in a hotel and has NEVER seen ANY manager EVER act the way he did. So disgusted and will be contacting corporate office about this matter.
Decent place for the price! Weekly rate beats any other hotel in the area by at least $100! Owners are friendly & even gave customers a complimentary bottle of champagne & glasses on New Year's Eve! Definitely will recommend to others!
Old building that could use some renovations but all in all for the excellent staff and price I'll definitely stay again....
